Nominate a K-12 Employee for a LifeChanger or PAEMST Award

The nomination period is open for two awards that recognize teachers and school employees for their impact on students. Anyone may submit a nomination. These awards provide an opportunity to celebrate the ways in which employees promote student success.

LifeChanger awards, sponsored by the National Life Group and National Life Group Foundation, honor K-12 school employees across the country who make a positive difference in the lives of students.

To be considered for an award, nominees must:

  • Make a positive impact in the lives of students

  • Enhance their school or district’s atmosphere, culture and pride

  • Demonstrate exemplary leadership at the school and/or district level

  • Possess a proven record of professional excellence

  • Show commitment to building a nurturing environment that supports learning

  • Adhere to the highest moral and ethical standards

Nominations are being accepted for the 2020-2021 program through December 31, 2020. Every nominee is celebrated on the website, and award recipients and their school or district receive a cash prize.

In addition, the 2020-2021 application cycle for Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching (PAEMST) has opened. This year's awards will honor science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and/or computer science teachers working in grades 7-12. The award recognizes teachers who have both deep content knowledge of the subjects they teach and the ability to motivate and enable students to be successful in those areas.

The National Science Foundation administers PAEMST on behalf of The White House Office of Science and Technology Policy. Up to 108 exemplary teachers may be recognized each year. The nomination period closes on April 1, 2021.
